As A Resilient Mind practitioner, Ali offers a range of tailored services including confidential nutrition counselling, interactive talks on topics such as nutrition and stress, digestion and energy management, practical ‘brown bag’ discussion sessions, body composition testing and education, hands-on food tasting workshops, nutrition challenges, recipe inspiration and menu planning with onsite caterers.
Initially using a Psychology degree as a springboard, Ali enjoyed a successful career in employee communications and business transformation, focusing on building employee commitment and capability. Ali has led a range of employee engagement and people change programmes for blue chip companies including GSK, Barclays, Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury’s. Success in each role habitually came down to connecting with employees and empowering them to embrace change – whether this was aligning people behind a newly merged organisation, bringing culture change to life or accelerating mastery of a new IT system rollouts.
After juggling family life with a hectic corporate career Ali also knows personally how the pressures of everyday life can derail healthy eating intentions, vitality and resilience.
Her interest in nutrition, however, began while growing up in a family with allergies and autoimmune disease when Ali became intrigued by the obvious connection between symptoms and food. After having her own children her curiosity about the relationship between eating and wellbeing grew even stronger – and Ali decided to take a deep dive into the science of nutrition. In 2006, she completed a degree in Nutrition Therapy with the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition.
Ali now focuses on helping busy people take on new, simple and proven diet and lifestyle habits to transform their long-term vitality and reduce the risk of many chronic diseases. Making the latest nutrition science easy to understand, Ali blends her knowledge of diet and lifestyle with neuroscience insights and coaching skills to secure the best physical and mental outcomes for her clients.
In the corporate space she also utilises her employee engagement skills and advises companies on how best to inspire employees around their wellbeing agendas. Ali has delivered a range of popular wellbeing services to clients like RBS, Harrods, Orange and LeasePlan.
A keen recipe developer and home cook Ali believes that with a little nutrition knowledge everyone can eat well and feel well – without feeling deprived. She loves showing workshop groups just how easy it is to prepare delicious, nutritious foods which can keep people healthier and more energised.
Ali also runs Nutri Know-How, an expanding private nutritional therapy practice based in London, where she works with clients on a one-to-one basis coaching them to achieve their individual health goals.
Ali is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the professional body for Registered Nutritional Therapists.
